Tiny Home for One

The brief for this project was to create a tiny space to call Home. From conception to final render, I wanted my home to be uniquely mine.

Every day of my childhood my mother would cut and present one apple to me for breakfast. Come rain or shine, the apple would be there, sitting on a plate every morning.
Keeping this memory in mind, I started by visualizing each space in my home, its purpose, and what qualities I wanted it to possess. I love sunlight and reading, so I incorporated a hidden reading nook with direct access to a skylight. For the outside rendering, I considered the art movements and spaces I love.
This functional home embodies my love for the surreal and kitsch, while also standing as an enduring testament to the literal foundation of my childhood—my mother
